2nd day, and I'm back.....
In April I qualified for my companies health insurance plan, a good thing I though as I had been paying my own way for 9 months since I was laid off. First shock was the price, $105 a month.... wow at my last place it was $24, but OK, I guess I was getting a good deal before....... Then there was the co-pay $20 or $30 for a specialist, compared to $10 before Same with prescriptions, and then there is a deductible $1500 per person holy crap! so I'm beginning to think what the hell am I paying all this money for? Well is sure as hell is not service, every time a bill is Submitted they screw it up, they apply it to the deductible when it should be covered by the office visit, they have paid doctors when we have already paid out of pocket, they have paid out for visits we haven't even been too, and they have split out bills from an ER visit and tried to bill us separately for the doctor, the nurse the x-ray the blood work. Each of these things required a call to the insurance company to resolve, each time they said they were right and my wife had to explain to them how the policy works (Fortunately she works in Insurance and understands the jargon in the policy). It is ridiculous that they are either deliberately trying to scam us, or are just so incompetent that they can't even read their own policy. Anyway I am really disillusioned with he healthcare system in general, I used to think the NHS in England was expensive and badly run, but it glows in comparison to this debacle.

Congrats on your blog :)
I have to say the NHS saved my eyes twice from arc flash during welding. Walked into the emergency room, was dealt with immeadiately, given meds, walked out.. total cost was about 6 pounds for the meds..
