SEMINOLE, Fla. - A man was arrested after trying to steal a weapon from a gun shop so he could "take some action and rescue Terri Schiavo," authorities said.
Michael W. Mitchell, of Rockford, Ill., entered Randall's Firearms Inc. in Seminole just before 6 p.m. Thursday with a box cutter and tried to steal a gun, said Marianne Pasha, a spokeswoman for the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office.
Mitchell, 50, told deputies he wanted to "take some action and rescue Terri Schiavo" after he visited the Pinellas Park hospice where she lives, Pasha said.
How fucking insane is this dude? What a complete moron, imbecile, psychotic lame brain, idiot of the highest order! …. Sorry nothing to do with wanting to rescue Terri, This guy actually went into a gun shop, with hundreds of guns, mountains of ammo, and a fairly good chance that the owner is not only a crack shot but also is extremely likely to have a concealed weapons permit and a loaded hand gun on his person… with a box cutter, not even a real knife, does he realize just how lucky he is to still be alive himself. Oh.My.God. This reminds me of a Darwin award that went to a guy who tried to rob a gun store in the middle of the day (so it was quite busy) in a state where people are allowed to carry concealed firearms. He eventually had so much lead in him that you could've used his penis as a pencil.
I've been in the gun stores in these parts, all I can say is this guy needs to buy a lottery ticket because he is on lucky son of a bitch not to be dead right now.
