Scary shit.....

Ok so just when you think things in my life couldn’t possibly get any more bizare……. I am not making this shit up I swear….. Today as I am finishing off at work, I get a call from my wife. My daughters fiance has been jumped in the wal-mart parking lot and is on his way to hospital with stab wounds………
So I IM my boss, to leave 15 mins early and ruch off to the hospital. Turns out he is OK nothing serious, but scary none the less. Here’s the story:
He came out of WalMart, and he had parked on the side lot because there was a space, as he walked along a car started following, he figured that they wanted his space and thought nothing of it. As he walked between two cars he was confronted by a man who demanded his wallet, he refused and the guy pulled a knife, a struggle ensued and my future son in law recived slashes to his stomach, arm and one on the neck. Now I can only imagine that the guy is new to mugging as none of the wounds were deep enough to warrant stiches, just a tetnus shot and some bathing, they didn’t get his wallet and son in law managed to get a good solid punch in right to the guys face and they fled.
He filed a report with the police, but unfortunatly the survailence at WalMart did not pick up anything so I doubt they will be caught, but then again if they continue to ineptly mug people at crowed stores in broad daylight (4pm) then it is only a matter of time.
We celebrated his bravery with a trip to outback, where we helped bouy his spirits and dreamed up what he could have done, if he had had time to think. My personal fave was to scream like a girl "rape! rape!"

Wow. I'm glad your future SIL is okay. Scary stuff. They say, of course, to never resist. But, sheez, I don't think I'd remember that. I'd be to ticked off about someone trying to steal. Of course, I probably would remember to take pictures with the camera that is attached to my wrist at all times. ;)

Oh Jeez, I'm sorry to hear this. But I am very glad that he is ok and that it was not serious. Very scary story though. Strange that you can sit here and put yourself in that kind of situation and think what you would do, but when the time comes, I think a lot of that goes out the window, so to speak, then you shoot from the hip. I like the "Rape, Rape" Idea. ;)

Actually, I was referring to your SIL. Do you think he may get a license now especially after this incident? Anyways, glad to hear he's okay.

Jeanette:- Actually taking their picture may have been a good idea, the police would have a chance of catching them.

Noonie:- He was pretty shocked already when i say him, I think he is doing OK though, Fire, Fire while being perhaps nore effective, it lacks the comedic value of Rape!

Jethro:- Oh I see Doh! I hope he doesn't, They are really irrisponcible, guns and irrisponcibility don't go hand in hand. It is bad enough that they went and got a dog.... and another dog......

If they are irresponsible, then you're right. They shouldn't have one. There's always Mace.

Noonie - What did you end up doing?
