Two stupid dogs?
Woof!
OK, so little miss grown up daughter has her own apartment, so the next obvious step… get a dog. Hmmm what sort of dog should we get? After all we are real experienced proven pet owners…. A Pitbull mix. Hmmm should we get a healthy one or a cheap one…. That’s easy that one is cheap any day….. should I go to school for a week and a half or stay at home and call myself in sick? Are you serious? These questions are so easy… Doh, I stay home. The Dog has fleas, what should I do? Treat with flea stuff and then give it a bath and shampoo.. Why does my dog still have fleas 10 days later… Dog is pissing on the floor, crapping in its cage, won’t come out of the cage, is scared of the leash, what should I do…. Get another dog of course… only this time lets get a 3 week old puppy…… Jethro can you see why I wouldn’t want them getting a gun?

I believe you have won that argument.
Scary thing is that I think he can go and get a gun if he wants. I am not an advocate of gun control, I kinda tiptoe on the fence, but it would scare the shit out of me if they had one, or others like them did.
Well, if he does, I hope he takes a safety course from a good instructor. Owning a gun is sort of like drinking alcohol. You can get drunk with power. Or, you can learn to respect it.
Noonie, that is so true. I've known some pretty dumb gun owners my whole life. Some of them include police officers. Scary...very scary.
Dog #1 is history, and #2 is 9weeks old, not 3... if you believe them.....
I actually phoned my daughter last night before she went to pick up #2 and told her straight up that she was crazy to get another dog while she was still having trouble with the other one, it was an awkward conversation, I left it at Think long and hard about what you can realistically manage. I'm guessing that todays action is a result of that conversation, or maybe the fiance finally put his foot down.
Let us know as soon as you find out. I'm just curious to know how this ends up.
Why do they need a gun if they have a dog? Or two dogs?
Oh, and I keep meaning to ask you, but keep forgetting ... plus I feel sorta like a dunce because I don't know. But, who's Jeff ... the wisdom of Jeff in your sidebar?
Noonie is correct, Jeff is from Coupling, BBC America, check it out, you will pee your pants
Wednesday, 9.20pm and then on Thursday during the night, set your Tivo....
Oh and they don't want a gun, or at least they haven't told me they do, but it was kind of a continuation of a discussion with Jethro...
Peeing pants is something women do AFTER they have children. But maybe I'll laugh my a** off. Ha ha haaa!
Wow, I have bruises on my chin after reading that one. That's insane. I would do anything to have a cat again but I know it's not the sensible thing to do, not until we have an actual house and I'm a lot more stable. The first thing my sister did on moving out at 17 (pregnant may I add - oops, did that sound bitchy? *looks innocent*) was buy a puppy who then proceded to trash all of her new furniture and piss all over the house, it was swiftly returned within four weeks.
You have so much patience, I would have just sat back and let her cock up by now, sometimes mistakes are the only way you learn, you have the patience of a saint :)
Jeanette - you will laugh you ass off, p** your pants and split your sides! I guarentee it!
Fern - If it wasn't for the puppy I might not have said anything, but it is unfair that an animal has to suffer because she "wants" it. Believe me there are plenty of "mistakes" that I am just ignoring, when it bites her in the butt, oh well, too bad so sad.
You didn't sound that bitchy, much.... funny thing is they are getting married because "it is a sin" to live together out of wedlock (never really understood that) but everyone assumes she is pregnant.
